Providing Pesach Needs: Kimcha D'Pischah
The custom is to buy wheat and distribute it to the poor people for their Pesach needs. All that live in the city for 12 months must give to this cause. The custom nowadays is either to give matzah and other necessities to the poor of money or funds to buy the necessities. It should be done in a respected manor and discreetly where necessary.

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic restrictions this year, we unfortunately will not be hosting a large communal seder as in years past.
However, we have committed to see that families in financial stress and lone soldiers will be provided ready made meals for the seder night to be delivered directly to their home.
Thankfully, due to the initial contributions of several dedicated donors we had already raised at the beginning of this campaign, which was enough for half of meals to be distributed.
We need your assistance to raise enough money to provide for the full amount to pay for the 200 meals we have committed to provide.
Also, in years past, contributions would come in all different ways, from meetings in shul, the personal sale of chometz by way of power of attorney, at the HaGalat Keilim station set up next to my home and just walking down the street in Jerusalem, people would give us money to distribute to the needy for the holiday. This process of collecting donations is not happening this year. We would like to continue to help as many as we can this year with financial help for the holiday.
Each meal consists of Shmura Matzot, Wine, Charoset, Fish appetizer, Soup (matza balls on the side), Roasted Chicken, Potato Kugal, Dessert. All under the Hashgacha of Bedatz. (No Kitniot/ No Gbrauchts (except for the matza balls - optional)
We are looking forward to your assistance by contributing toward the cost of those meals provided to those in need at this time.
